What Happens Now?
Favorite movie of 2011

“Drive”, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starring Ryan Gossling. IMDb describes it as “A Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong.”- But it is MUCH much more. Ryan Gossling’s character is SO intense- a very quiet man who says only what he means, and says it with great emotion. It is only about half way through the movie where you start to see the dangerous man that dwells within this quiet, soft spoken mechanic. The soundtrack is also PHENOMENAL, lots of 80’s sounding songs which I can never get enough of. A lot of the songs are played all the way through during one scene which I also enjoyed, it’s like Nicolas purposely made this movie taking in to consideration that it could be more than just a movie, but a way to enjoy music as well. I downloaded a very early version before most of the background music was added to the final product (thinking that the movie was actually that quiet). When I saw the final cut a few weeks ago I still loved the movie but thought that the version I have with so much silence made the movie more thrilling for me. This movie is truly amazing, I have not come across anyone that has seen and not liked it. The trailers for it that I saw really did not grab my attention though, which is a shame. All the trailers looked like a wanna be Fast and Furious movie, completely emphasizing on the car chasing scenes and violence- so it didn’t seem appealing to me. But upon cleaning/reorganizing my room one day I decided to give it a try to just have something playing in the background and I ended up stopping my cleaning for the vast majority of the movie. Since then I have watched it 12 times, it’s not gettin old for me yet! If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it- it’s phenomenal. And come on, Ryan Gossling is hot a shit. For whatever reason I’ve got the hots for when guys drive, especially with one hand- so this movie was PERFECT lol. Check it out ya’ll. Amaziinnnggg!!!

As of Lately

So I’ve been pretty busy lately with my childcare collective, Swiss Cheese Childcare Collective. Me and the head of the collective have been working a lot together to really launch it off the way we’re imagining it. But here’s kind of what’s been going on in my life through some videos and pictures.

A really great new band I discovered just yesterday- GroupLove. I initially found a remix of this song on a site I use when I wanna find new music called HypeMachine (hypem.com).
